The Community Foundation and its members will continue to build upon this significant success, with a determined focus on the needs of the community, expanding legacy giving and ensuring increased capacity to better serve the community.

Bobcaygeon and Area COVID-19 Relief Fund continues to support the community response to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic. The Fund has provided support to residents, staff members, the families and others directly affected and working with other local registered charities, such as food banks, women's shelters, churches, mental health services, among others.

The Grove Theatre project committed to build a community infrastructure space on property owned by the City of Kawartha Lakes for the purpose of providing theatre programs and community events. Year 2 in operation has resulted in an resounding success delivering cultural programming enjoyed by many from the community and beyond.

Canopy Project Kawartha Lakes continues to facilitate the planting of new trees on public property. BGC Kawarthas now complete, focus will be on plantings at schools across Kawartha Lakes.

The Sculpture Project facilitated the construction of two pieces of public art in Garnet Graham Park, a municipal park in Fenelon Falls.

Family Legacy Funds from four local families have stepped up to support a homeless shelter, a wellness centre and to provide scholarships to elementary, secondary and post-secondary institutions.

The Fenelon Falls Horticultural Society set up a fund to support horticultural activities on public gardens and parks in Fenelon Falls.

Mishkodeh Centre for Indigenous Knowledge was established to support the acquisition of property to provide an Indigenous education and wellness program in Bobcaygeon, through other qualified donees.

Community Foundation of Kawartha Lakes is thrilled to join Launch Kawartha in new space, created by the Kawartha Lakes Community Futures Development Corporation, at 165 Kent Street West, Unit 302, Lindsay, ON, K9V 3B6.
